A bit of a catch up
Sunday January 7, 2007

I just read something really sad. Kids die in play hangings. It’s the brutal reality of our existance, I think, when something that you think you’re insulated from (in even a small way) can affect so many innocent people.

So it has been a really long while since I have blogged… how was everyone’s New Year?

Marine Exhibition at the Adelaide Museum

Mine was pretty good. I haven’t put all of the photos up, because I don’t think that my family or friends really want their faces up on the internet, but this is a quick recap of last year.

There are some photos from Adelaide in there, as well as some photos of Christmas, Bess and of the Christmas pudding my Mum made. Lol.

I guess there really isn’t too much to tell you. We spent Christmas day at Vincent’s, and then boxing day at my parents. We spent New Years at home, where I got drunk and promptly made a new “new year” resolution to never drink that much again…

I started back at work this week and I have got to say that the first couple of days were highly stressful. I had a critical project that needed to be finished in two days and there was very little time to do it in. Luckily the Thursday and Friday were ok and I didn’t have anything too pressing.

Vincent started a new job this year so he is now commuting into the city. It’s pretty fun because we have been catching the bus in together!

And yeh. I guess that there isn’t all that much to tell you all without boring you =) I have made some new year resolutions (in addition to the above one)... aside from the usual “eat healthier and exercise more” I have some cash and some career goals that I want to achieve.

What are your resolutions?

My new year was pretty fun, finally got around to see the Sydney fireworks, very spectacular. I’d love to visit Adelaide, I explore Australia nearly as much as I’d like. :P

those are some really nice pics! i’m jealous of the one of you on the beach!! :) my resolutions are basicall the same has they always have been, only i really want to try to keep them this year around. but yeah i’m just trying to do what i can as far as grades go this last semester before i’m done with college and out in the real world! hehe. btw, i love the layout. such pretty colors! ttys! :)

My New Years was fun. We messed around with fire crackers.. but not to the extent to be stupid enough to blow body parts off. There was a lot of food and eating involved, too.

As for resolutions, I think we discussed it in my blog, but the main one is to practice justice with charity. =)

The link that you posted is disturbing indeed. It is sad enough that the execution was carried out so horribly (then again, I am against the death penalty by principle but I won’t get into that) but the effect children. =/

My new years resolution is to get this place of mine cleaned and organized. :) And keep it that way. I’m such a slob. LOL

I’m glad you had a great holiday. Mine was also great. I didn’t make any new years resolutions this year. My goal is just to do well in school because it’s my last year of my first degree and I want to get some good marks!

I understand the issue with pictures of family and friends. My mom almost freaked out when I had her picture on the site, so I promptly took it down.

First days after the holiday are always the hardest, especially since we’re all used to waking up later and not having to do anything work related.
