A short trip
Monday March 12, 2007
So there I was, driving out in the middle of nowhere thinking, “Please please please let me see a number on the road somewhere“.
I just went out to visit a client who seriously works in the middle of nowhere. I was driving past paddocks! For a city girl whose driving experience is limited to city roads and highways it was a disconcerting thing. And then, when I got there I decided that they had more security than the defence force offices. I had to leave my drivers licence number with security, sign in twice and present myself to two receptions. Lol – “my heart was a-flutter”, but with anxiety I was going to get killed by a gigantic piece of machinery.
And to top it all off, the client I was going to see had thought that the meeting had been cancelled, and therefore was not expecting me. Hmm… I hate it when other people organise things for me. Things always go wrong…
Anyway, I best be off to get back to work. Here are some pictures I took the other day, of two cheeky birds that keep on pestering for food =)

The client not expecting you is quite the topper! Ouch. Well I’m glad you at least made it there and back safely.
And those parrots are adorable. I love shot #2, someone looks like they’re so up to something. :)

the client wasn’t expecting you?! oh man… on the bright side, you weren’t killed by a gigantic piece of machinery.
those birds are so pretty… maybe u should make a layout with them. :P

Wow.. those birds are absolutely stunning. I love the clarity of the pictures too. Awesome.
And hey – driving in the middle of nowhere isn’t so bad, as long as you have some sort of confidence in where you’re going. lol.

Yeah I like organizing my own meetings for that reason. Sorry your client wasn’t expecting you. That must’ve been frustrating after such a long ride. Those birds are so cute!

Those birds are so nice! Are they yours?
I agree with Ivy—I like #2 as well. Makes them look like they’re plotting something devious.
