Beaches and hot weather
Sunday January 21, 2007

We went to the beach today and didn’t swim. How weird is that? It’s because we took some friends out and well, they don’t swim (or at least, one of them doesn’t).

But we had a cool experience. We were sitting on the sand dunes (yes, I know, we shouldn’t have been there) and then a guy that was sitting about 4 meters away from us said “you might want to move cos there’s a snake coming your way”.

So we got up and all interested tried to “find” the snake, and there it was! This little (well, when I say little I mean skinny) Green Tree Snake. I guess it was out loving the boiling hot weather.

Tomorrow it’s back to work and this time I think I’m going to welcome it. It’s way too hot right now, and the office is always nice and cool.

What do you prefer? Hot or cold weather?

In the UK its perfectly normal to go to the beach and not go in the sea, even at the height of summer the water would still be cold. No one goes in the sea in the UK except kids and crazy people hahaha

    Beautiful photos.

I never learned how to swim. I’m always envious of people who can swim. I know I should learn, but I freak out at the quality of the water in public swimming pools…

I feel like, I’m going to die by drowing one day…

I prefer, hmmm… between the 2 extremes of hot and cold… I guess cold weather. I don’t do too well in the scorching sun.

did i mention how i envy you that you’re at the beach?? lol. i prefer warm & cool weather (you like how i ignored to pick one of your two choices lol). usually i say i prefer the cold b/c you can keep putting on more layers and can only take off so much when you’re hot. but i have not really liked the cold buffalo weather. so yes, warm and cool weather for me thanks :)

    Cute little snakey :)

So how hot is it over there nowadays? I guess I prefer hot weather until it goes above 38 degrees C and starts to boil the life out of me.

Definately hot! I spend more time in coats & jackets than the normal person!
