Hollow
Sunday September 24, 2006
I feel hollow inside… is it the start of depression? I think that it could be… I’ve felt fine for so long. Everyone has bad days, and I have had those a lot lately, but it has compounded into something horrible.
What do you do when you have so much confusion and frustration and hurt, and there is nowhere to vent it?
What do you do when the world is moving around you, and you’re standing still?
I want to crumble and die right now…

Ya know…I know exactly how you feel. Whenever me an my boyfriend are on the rocks I always feel like I could completely seep into my bed and disappear and all will be well. I just need a hug and I feel loved again…go hug someone!

Hon, you need to get out and do something. When I am feeling down, I go out with friends, go for a jog or go shopping. Anything to get my mind off of things.

I know how you feel, when you feel that you just need to yell at something but there’s nothing to yell at. Get a hug if you can, if you can’t then maybe rip some paper or write a letter and shred it. That always helps.

When I feel like that I have a sad movie marathon and cry lots. Simply crying helps way more than you’d think.

My solution is music. I don’t know what my life would be like without it.
When I’m angry or even sad to the point of tears I listen to really angry music (so for me that’s dark heavy drum’n’bass). I find that the music is a release for me – like it somehow releases some of that frustration for you and just compliments it perfectly.
And when I’m happy I listen to happy music, which can be many different types of music.
The thing with the angry music is that you have to let it do its magic for you and don’t use it as an excuse to be angrier. Kinda like how a depressed person might listening to a depressing song (e.g. heartbroken -> sappy RnB). Heh.
Food also makes me happy.
Hope you’re feeilng better Dude.
