It's a quickie baby

Just a quick one to say “hello I’m not dead” =)

Work is psychotically busy at the moment. It’s actually very funny, we had an impromptu meeting yesterday about the fact that too many people are working back all of the time… the MD doesn’t feel that kind of thing is healthy and he wanted to tell us that we didn’t have to work back and we had to be more open with the project managers when we felt a project wasn’t going so well. Very productive.

Anyway, what was funny was the fact that after that meeting I was talking with my manager about this project I’m currently working on… and we were both like “no, we’ve exhausted all of our options, we’re going to have to stay back to get this done… as long as it takes”. I’m glad I can see the funny side to 12 hour days.

Anyway, to quicky round things up, I’ve taken to reading The Australian instead of Sydney Morning Herald in the mornings because I find it a little more challenging to my thoughts and perceptions.

After quickly flicking through it this morning, I wanted to know what y’all thought of this statement…

TERRORISM research in Australia is skewed towards the concept that Western policies are to blame and fails to explore fundamental questions about the nature of terrorists and the ideology driving them.

Research ‘blames West for terror’

Personally I blame the President for all of this. It’s all a conspirarcy.

Wow work does sound really busy. Sure, working extra all the time can really be a burden on your health. But every now and then for important projects, it is necessary.
