Just wanted to say hello
Wednesday August 9, 2006

It has been a little too long since I last blogged… in my defence it has been extremely busy. No more 16 hour days, but after a long-ish day at work, I just haven’t had the energy to blog.

Rainbow clouds
This morning I found myself wishing I had my camera with me, so that I could take pictures of the gorgeous cloud formations. Unfortunately I’ll have to describe them to you…

There must have been really strong and swirling winds in the night, because the clouds were all in these strange crescent shapes. Also, there is a storm brewing and the clouds looked so pretty with the sun rising behind them. They were this spectacular dark and stormy grey on one side (the side away from the sun) and they faded back to an ethereal white. So I have dubbed them “rainbow clouds”.

Kombu
I’m going nuts trying to make a good soup base for my miso, because I can’t find the right ingredients around. Also, I have decided I like white miso better than yellow miso in miso soup. So sydney-siders, where the hell can I find kombu? I refuse to buy those instant miso soup packets just to satisfy my miso soup craving.

Zuma
I pride myself on not playing computer games, so what have I gone and done? I have become addicted to playing Zuma. It’s one of those games where even though it’s simple and repetitive, because of the pace it’s interesting. Kind of like tetris =)

Anyway, must be off. A big day ahead of me at work, with no over time and a tight deadling (I’m meeting a friend for dinner so I can’t stay back). Take care!

I love looking up at the clouds. You can always find some amazing shapes, even if you stare at them for a while.

don’t you hate it when the only time you forget to bring your camera and there’s finally something worth to take a picture of and oops you dont have your camera? lol. those cloud formations sound awe inspiring.
