My brain sucks

Wow… I can’t think of anything to write about tonight. My brain is completely fried due to work, which I think is a shame since it’s only Tuesday =) The whole week left and I’m down on the intellectual scale already. Hehe.
Speaking of work, it’s “crazy-busy” right now. I’ve been talking with the scheduling guy and with my manager to try and work out better ways of managing my day. I’m supposed to ge 50% of my week on things that aren’t development – such as creating training plans, process documents and the like… but right now it seems like I do development 7-8 hours of the day and I do the rest on top of that…
Hopefully these latest discussions will help improve the situation.
Oh! I get to sit in on my first interview tomorrow – should be interesting being on the other side of the table =) I’ve been shortlisting for the development jobs we have advertised, and now I finally get to be involved in the actual process of finding and hiring. Exciting! I wonder if I’m going to be expected to do anything… I’m good at being interviewed, but I’m not quite sure how well I’d adapt to doing the interview. Lol.
Anyway, I’m tired so I’m off to bed. Or at least, I’m going to start the process of getting there (it’s hugely long and requires about an hour of “putting Holly to bed” and then thirty minutes of “what shall I wear tomorrow”, and hopefully tonight I won’t forget the “what will we have for dinner tomorrow” part of my evening that for the last few nights I have conveniently omitted).

Ooh, I think once you have to do interviews, that you’ll do fine. They’re not as scary/weird as they seem like they’d be, honestly. Of course, that could all depend on where you work, but still, I think it’ll be fine!

Doing interviews sounds like it would be such fun, and what a position to inspire fear in the hearts of applicants, haha. Good luck with that and rearranging your schedule!
