Reflecting on the year gone by
Sunday March 18, 2007
The autumn equinox is coming up for us. Strangely, this is the festival I always try and observe. Not to play favourites or anything I’m sure =)
To me personally, it’s a time for reflection, where I can look back and see how I have grown throughout the year and it’s a time to check that I have achieved the things that I have wanted to, since the end of winter. My own person “harvest of achievements” if you will.
Otherwise, I like the mark the changing of the trees and the change of the season, and I like to light and candle and do a quiet and personal ritual outside.
Something tells me though, that this year I’m not going to get any opportunity to do this… so I might just read the tarot and meditate this year…

The above should probably have been posted at the other blog, but it’s important enough to me to get posted here instead.

I worked late last Friday and ended up very annoyed because I had to cancel out on drinks with friends because I couldn’t make it in time. I hate it when that happens. And these are friends that I haven’t seen in ages as well… c’est la vie I suppose.
I think I am going to ask for a day off. I can’t handle the pressure of work right now, and what was even worse is that on Friday I was just told to get it all done, with no offer of additional help. I had about 20 hours of work to do in one day… and there is still some left. Which is why I’m working today (Sunday) and which is why I’m going to get hammered tomorrow.
I can’t complain though – at least I get to work at home today. Vincent had to go into the office to work today… unlucky bastard, had to battle the traffic congestion due to the harbour bridge celebrations. Ick.
Anyway, I must be off. Have a wonderful week and don’t forget to celebrate the equinoxes this week, wherever you are!

Don’t stress yourself too much! I hope you’ll make the most out of your day-off. :D

I just remembered that spring is almost here! Thanks to your post =) I find it so odd how some people are celebrating the coming of spring while others are of autumn. And celebrating New Years in the summer. I just find that so odd!
But do have a nice time with your day off!

Ah, stress, how I hate it. Make sure to relax on your day off. :) And to reply to your comment in my blog, yeah there are many similair sites like that out there. I’ll try to do my best and advertise it like you said though. :)
