Waiting waiting waiting

The bad thing about project managing is that when something is going to a client, even if you’re not the developer on the project, you still have to wait around at work for it to be signed off by *Q*uality *C*ontrol…
So I’m waiting for my project to be signed off so that I can send an email and then go home.
Tonight we’re having hamburgers for dinner! This is because I was going to make a lasagne on the weekend and didn’t… so we have excess amounts of minced meat at home.

Bah, Vincent just rang cos he thought I would be on my way home too… I hate being late at work!! Especially when I don’t actually have anything to do. ARGH!! If this wasn’t such a good platform for my (budding??) career I wouldn’t really care, but I’m serious about making a successful career out of this whole development thing.

On the weekend I had some friends over for [another] housewarming. It was so good to see all the old high school friends… they’re all up to so much! They’re lawyers, event organisers, doctors, physios and so much more. Lol. It’s so cool finding out what everyone is up to (after so much time anyway) because I’m constantly left amazed by their achievements.
Anyway, they bought Vincent and I these cool noodle bowls. They’re ceramic, with detachable metal handles, and they come with metal chopsticks. Very funky :)
Oh, we also got a salad/fruit bowl (it’s a gorgeous one this time around), a throw rug, a little cactus plant and… when Vincent’s family came around we got a George Foreman grill, and a gorgeous vase (jam packed with M&Ms).
Very cool stuff =)

I signed up to Despair.nu... possibly out of boredom, but maybe it’s also because I need the motivation to not see this site go to waste.
I’ve also been wondering whether or not to submit my portfolio to design sites, but I’m not sure the calibre of work in it is high enough…

Love your site, the grpahic at the top is great. I know what you mean about waiting for other people to do work before you can complete your part of the job, it sucks as no-one is as perfect as you like to think. Stupid work.

Oh I despise that restless feeling of having nothing to do but waiting for something crucial. Despair.Nu is an alright way to waste time, have fun with it. Give yourself a little more credit for your art work.. submit it, and atleast them them get the chance to judge it. I bet you’d get good responses from what I’ve seen.
